 - Important notes: An uncirculated holy grail 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard "Burst", nicknamed "Céline", with full provenance. We are pleased to present a true piece of Canadian music history! This guitar was purchased in Quebec in 1959 and has remained here ever since. The original owner bought the guitar in a Quebec city music store in 1959 and played it lovingly and continuously in a band with his wife Céline (after whom the guitar was named). This "Céline" Burst is featured in Burst Believers IV and V. The guitar is 100% original save for a professional refret and repro tuners (originals have shrunk and are included with the guitar). Céline comes with her original hard-shell case, strap, copies of hard cover books featuring the guitar, original photographs of the original owner and his beloved Burst throughout the years (with his wife Céline), original tuners... and most importantly, quintessential haunting Burst tone! This guitar was also photographed in the 1970's with the Slash Burst (the 2 guitars were purchased at the same time from the same store in Quebec in 1959; one was purchased by Céline's husband and the other by his friend and neighbour). Lots and lots of additional photos available upon request. The guitar begs to be played and it plays phenomenally. The Céline Burst weighs 8.9LB and she is ready to be played and loved for another 70 years!
